Reviewing All Imanbek Songs

Warning 1: This one is for Imanbekators and bad bitches only.

Warning 2: Throughout this post I will be calling it Lithuanian Bass.

Now with that out of the way, lets begin.

Imanbek is a Kazakh railwayman who makes music in his free time. He suddenly became famous after his remix of Roses by SAINt JHN became a hit. And while everyone knows (and hopefully everyone loves) it by now, it's not his only song worth caring about. So I decided to listen to them all to be able to drop some hot knowledge on all of you Imanbekators. I managed to find 21 different songs, most of them being remixes, and here I will review them all. The order will be decided by random.org. So, let's begin with...

Hiro ft. Tussupov, IK - Dvigi (Imanbek Remix)
I didn't want to begin with that one because really, what even is there to say about it? It has a decent guitar line, extremely loud bass synth (which is very typical for Imanbek), 3 rappers that all sound like the same malfunctioning robot, and that's pretty much it. It's also 4 and a half minutes long, which is way too long for something this repetitive and uninteresting. 2/5

Parah Dice - Hot (Imanbek Remix)
Now we are getting into the good stuff. Original "Hot" was a pretty wild and loud song, and Imanbek's changes should make it worse... in theory? Except they don't? He adds this farty ass sound to the drop, which somehow makes it better? And then there are Even More Sounds which all sound cool and all, but the biggest improvement in this one are the verses, in the original they were way too slow. Also the lyrics are fairly bad on this one but who cares? 4/5

Cvetocek7 - Eta Noch (Imanbek Remix)
This one was one of the songs I have not heard before and it surprised me a bit. First of all, the vocals are really good and sound surprisingly natural for an Imanbek remix. He adds this typical Imanbek synth bass to the verses, but it's not as loud or as jumpy as in Roses, so it fits with the downbeat feel of the song. However I'm not big on the drop, it has this very whistly sound in it which sounds like shit. 3/5

FILV & Edmofo ft. Emma Peters - Clandestina (Imanbek Remix)
The original Clandestina by Lartiste was released in 2016. Then it was covered by Emma Peters and remixed by Edmofo, except they added some lyrics that weren't there in the original? For some reason? Then FILV remixed the Emma Peters x Edmofo version, and his version was the biggest, charting in Poland and Russia. Then, as if there weren't enough versions already, Imanbek remixed the FILV remix of the Emma Peters x Edmofo cover of Lartiste's Clandestina. So which one is the best? Well it's the FILV one. He made it both sound sensual and sound like a banger. The Imanbek remix is pretty much just the FILV one except he added bass that sounds incredibly gummy and plastic. Which would be a problem but somehow he made it work. The chorus, with lyrics about cocaine taking someone's family, sounds incredibly happy, and the breakdown between the chorus and the second verse is pure joy. I really don't know why this one works as well as it does. 5/5

Tyga - Ayy Macarena (Imanbek Remix)
So we're getting into the "remixes that are so obscure they are not on spotify" part of Imanbek's discography and WHAT IS THIS. The verses sound like pretty generic Imanbek stuff, typical bass synth and all, but the drop. I can't describe this drop. Your ears have to witness it yourself. I would like to hear Imanbek do something like this more often. 4/5

24kGoldn - Valentino (Imanbek Remix)
When I heard that one for the first time, I thought to myself "wow, he's remaking Roses yet again, great job". And yeah, it is a very blatant ripoff of Roses, it has the same sounds and the same structure. I could be mad at him for just making the same song again, but does it really matter? At the end of the day it bangs almost as hard. It doesn't change the vocals as much as Roses, but they are still pretty high pitched (which is a good thing), and just like in his remix of Hot, the second half adds The Noises of Cool. Also, according to some youtube comments, in parts of the song the bass is in the wrong key? I personally don't believe the concept of something being in the wrong key, sounds like libtard propaganda so it doesn't take away my enjoyment. 4/5

O'Neill & Imanbek - Take Me
Wow, finally I didn't have to type the words Imanbek Remix. Feels good.

This one is like the OG Roses ripoff. The sounds used are extremely similar, but unlike in the Valentino remix, the structure is different. Which isn't a good thing, because the Roses structure is perfect for a club banger. The best part of this one are the vocals and the lyrics, both sound pretty sweet and nice. 3/5

Rauf & Faik - Detstvo (Imanbek Remix)
Detstvo was a very big and very good Russian emo trap song. Now, you might be having questions such as "why would you make a club remix of an emo trap song?". And these questions are mostly valid. This one doesn't use the typical Imanbek bass synth, mostly opting for deep house and trap sounds, which while it suits the original better, the end result is just forgettable. 2/5

Jarico x Imanbek - All Night
Jarico is a Russian DJ who makes mostly deep house, and this song feels like a good showcase of both Jarico's and Imanbek's styles. There is the typical Jarico vocal chop on the drop and the typical L O U D I M A N B E K B A S S S Y N T H. It's a little bit too long and the buildup to the last drop is very underwhelming, but as a whole it's still pretty good. 4/5

Imanbek - Dope
This is probably the most out there Imanbek song. Which is a shame, cause it's not very good. I like the vocals and the beat could work, but it's just a bit too much, and there's not enough room to breathe. Listening to it feels like having an asthma attack. However, the beginning melody is very good and it's very short so 2/5

DJ DimixeR & Murana - Romantic Dance (Imanbek Remix)
This was another one I have not heard before and it surprised me with how good it is. Murana's vocals are really good, even when I couldn't understand what she was saying like 50% of the time. I'm not even sure if it was in English, but given how underground all of these songs are, there's no way to check it. The drop is very good too and it probably counts as Lithuanian Bass, which always pleases me. It would be a 5/5, but the trap breakdown at the end is completely pointless, so now it's right on the line between 5/5 and 4/5.

Martin Jensen & Imanbek - I'm Just Feelin (Du Du Du)
Everything in this one is just a bit away from being good. The vocals? They would be good if not for the way she ends some lines (shIIft, gIIft). The drop? Maybe it would be good if they didn't push everything so far into the back of the mix. There is, however, one genius decision they made. It's like they knew the drop was the worst part of the song, so when you think it's about to begin, they just continue the chorus. And it turns out that by the 15th repetition, the line "I'm Just Feelin (Du Du Du)" doesn't sound that bad anymore (still, it's such a dogshit song title). Also can we talk about how it flopped? I wasn't exactly expecting it to be a huge hit, but like, it charted in one country (Sweden) and it peaked at #99. It's even worse than Dynoro (the In My Mind guy)'s follow up. 3/5

Gio Pika - Fontanchik s Delfinom (Adam Maniac & Imanbek Remix)
This one is currently at 16 million views and I feel like there's something I'm not getting here. It's just this dude saying something over a generic deep house beat. Don't care. 2/5

Gianna - Chica Loca (Imanbek Remix)
It's getting hard to talk about all these remixes. Sometimes they feel so anonymous. This one does have good, emotional vocals (and I'm pretty sure I recognize them from somewhere) and the beat is pretty good I guess? But I do not like the way he goes "eeeEEeeeehhhEEE"? It's just not something I have anything to say about. 3/5

Stephanskiy & Imanbek - Smoke It Up
Stephanskiy is someone known by every appreciator of Kazakh EDM because of his remix of Icy Narco's Numb & Frozen. That remix is simply genius because the drop in it literally sounds like your are being gray cells getting chainsawed in half. This one sadly does not possess such qualities. It's a fairly well done trap/deep house mix, but there's not much to say about it. 3/5

DUBOSS - Voyage, Voyage (Imanbek Re- uhh.. Imanbek Edit)
Finally, some good old Lithuanian Bass. It's a pretty generic remix of the Desireless classic from the 80's, but that doesn't mean it's bad. And when you get to the drop it gets even better. The drop sounds pretty good at first, then it kinda dies down and them booooom it was all a play! Imanbek the genius has just turned on the machine to make synths go zooooom. 5/5

Deesmi & Onlife - Vlyubilsya v neyo (Imanbek Remix)
i forgot i was listening to it while i was listening to it lol 1/5

Rasster - Sad (Imanbek xxx Remix)
Rasster made one of the most insane songs I've ever heard (Djara - go listen to it now if you haven't it's truly something else), so when I heard his take on XXXTENTACION's SAD! I was pretty disappointed because yes, it was just another Lithuanian Bass song which he didn't exactly remember to make good. The Imanbek remix does improve it a bit, but it's not exactly improving, but Roses-ifying it. It's very much just Roses again, except quieter. Why would you want Roses but quiet when the entire reason why Roses goes so hard is that Imanbek made the bass synth 10x louder than everything else in the mix? 3/5 (still hope it charts in Canada because Imanbek and all)

MriD - Dikiy Yad (Imanbek Remix)
What even is there to say. I have absolutely nothing to say. Nothing about the original nor the remix is interesting, the original is a generic rap song, the remix is just that with generic ass Imanbekite sounds. Really not one of the epic moments of history. 2/5

SAINt JHN - Roses (Imanbek Remix)
While for everything else the order was random, I knew this one had to be last. Because looking at Imanbek's entire discography shows all the errors that could be there in Roses, but aren't. He could have made the bass quiet like in Sad, but instead it blows your ears out. He could have made it so that the song begins slowly and the gets to a drop like in Take Me, but instead it's constantly going on with just enough space to breathe so it doesn't get overpowering. He could have made the lyrics understandable like in Valentino, but he didn't and now we have "I was in a porno with Joe Biden screaming no". Despite Roses being the first one, it doesn't have any of the mistakes the songs mentioned above have. It's the proof that the formula has been mastered. No song with the Roses formula will ever reach the peak of Roses. There is no god up there. Just Roses. Imanbek Remix. 5/5
